Making education accessible to Albertans
Increased access to education has proven to influence health outcomes. In 1998, to celebrate our 50th anniversary, Alberta Blue Cross established a $1 million scholarship fund to assist young Albertans pursuing their dreams of post-secondary education.
Supporting 65 scholarships, each year, our scholarships range from $750 to $1,500, and are awarded to full-time students on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.
Most awards are administered directly through the accredited post-secondary institutions listed below.
Scholarships for Indigenous students

"Without bursaries provided by generous donors such as Alberta Blue Cross, some students would not be able to pursue their passions and goals of Post-Secondary education. Thank you, Alberta Blue Cross for all of the support that you provide, you are helping students realize their dreams!"- Kathryne Drnasin, Student Awards office, University of Calgary
