Group life insurance

Insured group life, disability, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is underwritten by Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada® (Blue Cross Life®).

Personal life insurance

  • Included in health and dental plans: Life and Disability insurance, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage included in health and dental plans are underwritten by Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada® (Blue Cross Life®).
  • Individually purchased plans: Individually purchased term life insurance and critical illness policies are underwritten by Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada® (Blue Cross Life®).

Travel insurance

  • Trip Protection Insurance: Individually purchased policies for travel cancellation, interruption, airline delays and baggage loss, damage or delay are underwritten by The Canassurance Insurance Company Inc. (Blue Cross Canassurance).
  • Air Flight Accident benefit and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance: Individually purchased travel coverage against any accident you may encounter while on a licensed commercial flight is underwritten by Blue Cross Canassurance.
